Ekibastuz SDPP-2 and Green Technology Hub announce the conclusion of a cooperation agreement within the framework of the Carbon Belt consortium. The agreement signed by the parties is aimed at creating a carbon belt in the Pavlodar region by planting and growing at least 1.5 million trees.
According to the agreement, Ekibastuz SDPP-2 will finance the project, and the Green Technology Hub will be responsible for planting, growing and caring for the planted trees. This partnership will not only help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also contributes to the protection of the environment and promotes the development of an environmentally sustainable community.
Pavlodar region, where Ekibastuz SDPP-2 is located, is one of the most environmentally vulnerable zones in Kazakhstan. This project is of strategic importance for the region and can help significantly reduce the negative impact of energy production on the environment.
