Green Technology Hub (GTH) actively participates in the 3rd Annual Ecojer Conference dedicated to the development of voluntary carbon markets. The event, held on June 2nd at RIXOS President Astana in Astana, gathered leading experts and business representatives interested in promoting sustainable development and addressing climate change issues.
The conference focused on discussing forest-climate projects, which play a crucial role in carbon sequestration from the atmosphere, as well as the development of projects aimed at forest conservation and restoration. The creation of greenhouse gas absorption projects through forest-climate systems is a priority task in combating climate change. Green Technology Hub is involved in the development of the Carbon Belt project, which aims to improve the environmental situation and create sustainable forest ecosystems in Kazakhstan.
Green Technology Hub has developed and launched the carbontrade.kz platform for carbon trading, which hosts certificates such as the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC), Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), and many others. The platform is open to all interested parties, including traders and buyers, to develop the carbon market.
Green Technology Hub will continue its work in the field of carbon trading development and collaboration with stakeholders to bring innovations and effective solutions in the fight against climate change and the achievement of a sustainable future.
